stalker in the shadows
Stalkers make bad traders.
I know this statement may seem kind of funny if not outright loony, but bear with me and I’ll explain.
Let’s see what a stalker does:
He meets a woman, becomes infatuated with her, tries to get into a fruitful relationship with her… but she doesn’t want anything to do with him and tells him so.
What happens is that this guy doesn’t give up, he can’t take a hint, he continues to hang around this woman even though he has no chance to ever get anywhere with her. He wastes his time, makes a lot of effort, often tries to contact her time and time again, but she remains distant and unwilling.
Even these repeated rejections don’t do anything to discourage this guy. He “feels” as if this has to be right, not matter what this woman says or does. He continues to stay in her life, watching from a distance, hoping for a change of heart.
Naturally, the roles of woman and man can be reverses and often are. In addition, there are cases which end a lot worse than what I’ve described.
Now, let’s see how stalking relates to bad trading habits:
A trader enters a trade he or she feels is right and will end in profit. This trader watches the trade but it goes sour. It rejects the trader and turns against him. In the Forex trading world, this means that the trade entered into a loss.
The trader stays with the trade, hoping for a reversal. Sometimes it comes, but in this case, the loss deepens. This trader doesn’t give up, doesn’t take the hint that this is a bad trade which will never be good.
He continues to waste a lot of time (in which his money could have been working better for him) and effort, watching this trade, willing it to turn in his direction.
Even when the losses get bigger and bigger, this trader doesn’t give up, doesn’t let up, he continues to drift down further into an ever increasing loss.
In the end, even this trader may give up on the trade (or have it closed by his broker). The loss will be much bigger than it should have been, much bigger.
This is why stalkers make bad traders.
You need to know when to move on. There are plenty of available men and women and there are many Forex opportunities just around the corner. Cut your losses short and quick, and wait for the next time. In dating and Forex, this is good advice.
It’s like the more you LOOK the less you SEE…MIRAGE…well if WISHES where HORSES…BEGGARS will ride HORSES…FOREX is not EASY… trade what you SEE not what you FEEL…Thanks
